With the second cycle of the R350 Sassa grant currently in full swing, some applicants have received their grant payment while others have not.

Some applicants of the R350 grant have been approved, but have not yet received their payments. If you are one of these applicants, SASSA has explained why this could be the case.

Some applicants of the R350 grant have resorted to using Twitter to complain about not receiving their grant payments, even though they have been told that they qualify for the grant.

In response, the South African Social Security Agency(Sassa) recently stated on its Twitter account that when R350 grant recipients frequently change their bank details, the end result is a delay in the processing of their payment.

Frequently changing your bank account details delays the payment process as each bank account needs to be verified before payment is made into the account.

Sassa has on previous occasions encouraged applicants to receive their grant through their bank accounts. This, according to Sassa, is a more efficient process, compared to the other payment options available to grant beneficiaries.

Sassa has also urged approved applicants to keep their payment details up to date, to ensure swift payment once the grant is ready to be paid out.
